The Art Studio is an inspiring stand-alone structure with bountiful natural light.  It was originally a part of the Fleming-Winter House property, and served as the studio of Lumen Martin Winter, the noted American muralist.

Throughout all buildings, imaginations are moved with the display of a vast collection of treasures from adventures of years passed.
"It just feels like home
I know every student here."
- A Student
All of the classrooms are equipped with flat screen televisions, linked to an internal system.    The school's home-like environment is warm and comfortable, and yet invokes a feeling of history and permenance.

Our Beautiful Campus
Thornton-Donovan is very proud of our unique style of campus.  Our tree-shaded property includes three large and architecturally inspiring former homes dating from the early part of the last century, and a separate art studio.  Each brick, Georgian-style building surrounds our brand new athletic field, basketball court and playground
(completed Spring, 2009), creating a wonderful feeling of connectedness.

The Lower School is housed in the original Crawford Estate, a stately brick mansion which has been creatively converted into 12 classrooms, the Berns Memorial Library, faculty conference center, the Annmarie Licini-Paris Technology Center, science lab, lunchroom, and administrative offices.

The White House, used for school socials and special receptions, also houses the music room and other classrooms, as well as an audio-visual theatre.  This building is also home to international faculty on the second floor.

The Fleming-Winter House contains 3 upper school classrooms on the ground level ,which were converted without detracting from the home's graceful ambiance.  The second floor serves as faculty residence.
