For 2009 - 2010, Thornton-Donovan's academic salute is to one of the world's most inviting country's, South Africa. Brazil, our country of focus 2008-2009, was the ideal prelude.
Each academic year, roughly 20 new courses are introduced to reflect our annual theme. As you might expect, announcement of the new course offerings are anxiously awaited each August. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to select a few from the list for study. Placement in each course is based on ability, achievement and interest - not grade level. The courses are integrated with T-D's rigorous classic core curriculum: English, History, Mathematics, Sciences, Music, Art and Foreign Languages.
